Chinese Hospital is the last independent hospital in San Francisco, with a long and rich history of providing access to culturally competent health care services for the Chinese Community. Denied health care at other hospitals, fifteen chinatown community organizations banded together to build a dedicated hospital serving the community in 1925. Today, the Chinese Hospital Association and affiliated 250 physicians care for over 75,000 patients throughout the greater San Francisco area. A new hospital tower is under construction with a completion date of 2016.
